Yes, I Can

Mentors - Bennie Harris

I’ve been listening to a really great CD and series of songs by “Tim McAfee Lewis” and “New Thought” featuring “The Agape International Choir”, all of the Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City, California. Agape is under the leadership of Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith.

While every song is inspirationally uplifting, there is one particular song that has absolutely galvanized my mind and resonates deep within my soul, day and night; “Yes I Can! What a powerful phrase!

Daily, we are all working on something and there is usually a song, mantra or some type of self-talk going on in our mind.  Now, whatever that specific self-talk, song or mantra is, it shows up in our lives. It becomes our visible demonstration or manifestation. Most will understand this unless one still believes in “happen-stance” or that we’re puppets on a “string”, controlled by a capricious power that decides if we should or shouldn’t.

Knowing that we live in a just Universe, governed by “Cause and Effect”, our lives play out first in the “Theater of The Mind” as Dr. Maxwell Maltz called it in his ground-breaking best seller; “Psycho-Cybernetics.”

Knowing this, what is your song, mantra or self-talk, everyday?

I listen to “Yes I Can” when I’m driving, when I’m walking, when I’m working out in the gym, or when I’m sitting here at my computer. Then, I hear it in my mind as I drift off to sleep at night and again when I awake in the morning!

Yes I Can, I Can Do It, Yes, I Can!

With 2011 right around the corner, many of us are contemplating new ventures or changes that we’d like to experience, what better way to prepare the fertile ground of our being, than with a powerful song, mantra or self-talk of some type?

I Can Do It, Yes I Can, Yes I Can!

I’ve got my song in mind; “Yes I Can”, what about you?

To your Peace, Power and Prosperity, today!
