As we prepare for a fresh, new 365 days of "opportunity," what better way to prepare than by leaving the extra weight of 2010 or preceding years behind as we turn out the lights. Do we really want to drag this excess with us into our new, 2011 experience?
"Before we can win out in life, we must believe in our power to win. We must be confident in our expectations of success, vigorous in our self-faith."
Faith moves mountains. "To him that believeth, all things are possible." The man, who does not believe in something and believe in it with all his soul, is a pretty poor stick.
"In some way which you know not of, through some process which never reveals its face, Life has entered into you with Its irresistible impulse to create."
You, like all others, are seeking the joy of living. You wish to be needed, to be loved, to be included in the great drama of life. This is the urge of every individual. It is in everything. The rose exists to express beauty. Root and branch conspire with nature to give birth to the blossom. An artist will starve in his garret that he may chisel an angelic form from a slab of marble, compelling the unyielding substance to accept his breath of creation.
Mentors - Dr. Raymond C. Barker
The whole world of facts shouts at you what you cannot do! It says that you are a victim of the times. It measures you in words of success and failure, health and disease, friends and enemies. It is emphatic about your age, your life expectancy, and finances. It affirms you as body, bank account, and ultimate death.
“My belief is that God not only loves a prosperous man, but that we discredit both Him and ourselves when we experience poverty!”
One of the oddest quirks that we discover in human nature is to find someone desiring to be radiantly well, gloriously happy, abundantly supplied, well loved and fully expressed, and yet avoiding any use of the word “spiritual,” and shunning any possible thought that they may desire to be known as spiritual.
“If we want to do a thing that is really worth doing, we must mentally grow until we are that thing, which we want to see made flesh.”
We can draw from the Infinite only as much as we first think into it. It is at this point that so many fail, thinking that all they need to do is to affirm what they want and it will follow. While it is true that affirmations have real power, it is also true that they have only that which we speak into them.
“We must become the thing we want. We must see it, think it, realize it, before the creative power of Mind can work it out for us.”
Few people in limited situations have a mental likeness of plenty. This likeness must be provided. The thought must be large enough to cover the whole of the thing desired; a small thought will produce only a small thing. The very fact that all is Mind proves this to be true. All is Mind and, because it is, we can draw from that Mind only that which we first think into It as a reality.
